John F. Kennedy School Reviews

It seems like discipline continues to be a problem at this school. Rowdy students disrupt the education process far too often and the administration is loathe to do anything about it.

This school used to be top notch and has lost it's 'sparkle',they cater to the Top students or the Low students and the ones in the middle lose out.Vice principal is wonderful, although some of the great staff have left recently. I used to love the school but now i'm looking forward to moving on.

The level of attention to academic excellence far surpases other districts that I have been involved in. I am impressed with the level of full inclusion that is being implemented district wide and with adequate teacher student supports. It is a model that all districts should strive to mirror. The extracurricular activities are available to all students and there is a vast array of opportunities to participate in activities that are available. The home school connection is very apparaent through home-school activities as well as parent participation through the PTO.

Joh F. Kennedy School has some excellent teachers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said about the administration. Last year, the principal, who was vey well liked by both parents and teachers retired. His replacement does not have the same leadership skills and often treats students, parents and teachers in an unprofessional manner. Discipline is getting worse and morale is low, and I fear many of the best teachers will leave.
