Bloomfield high school is wonderful. Due to caring and active parents who take great pride in their schools, the state scores are superior and the sat's are rising every year. Bhs is clearly one of the top schools in the state.

My daughter attends BHS and is doing very well. The staff and Principal are approachable and eager to assist in anyway. However PTO participation by parents is very low and the same few parents come month after month.

I am a student at BHS and I believe that the administrators, faculty and students are trying to make an improvement. They are becoming more strict and focusing more on academics. providing students with free tutors, SAT study sessions and etc. Although they lack when it comes to extracurricular activities(besides sports) this school strives to give student a chance to excell. There just needs to be more organization and parent involvement. Statistics mean nothing, CAPT scores seem low but for those who tried they did very well. The school is only as good as each invividual student and BHS is working on helping every student get a great education.

This is a well taught school. The academics might be a little low but, the sports teams are awsome. They can't be stopped!

The CAPT scores for Bloomfield High School say a great deal about the school. I had planned to send my children here, but after seeing the disguting behavior of the students at a talent show, I do what a number of Bloomfield parents have to do, and that is spend the tax money for a failing school and send a child to a private school. The parents are not involved in this school

In my point of view most of the people, including faculty care mostly about sports, especially football. What Bloomfield High needs to do is focus on their academics because whether or not that student gets a schlorship they aren't going to be prepared for college or the real world. I believe that everyone, parents and students included, need to focus more on other extracurricular activities that don't evolve around sports because that factor of BHS is SERIOUSLY lacking. I don't feel that attending BHS is pushing me or aiding me in any matter shape or form.

Bloomfield High School needs help. As a graduate of the class of 2004- i stress that fact. Many have gone on to college and various other things but that is of not thanks to Bloomfield High or the town of Bloomfield. I'm not gon hate on the football team and complain that all the money goes to them even though it does.....the teachers are horrible...out of my 4 years i can count on one hand the teachers that i felt truely cared for their students and that's sad. last thing i gotta say is that I'll forever be a proud Lady Warhawk.

This school needs real help! All this school cares about is football. all the school mmoney goes to football. there is plenty other activities the school/fund-raiser money can go to. The school should be known for their academic scores to. sports is not everything. your education is. As a student of this school i see alot of bad things going on and very little good things. We seriously need to improve this school.

As an alumnus of Bloomfield High School, I think we are above the majority of the schools in the area in terms of academics. Sports are big time at BHS, however, making the grade are stressed more and a student has to have the grades to play on any team. Just think about all the students who have gone on to college and excelled far beyond that. I just finished a graduate degree and I plan to go on. BHS has former students in colleges and universities around the globe, in the WNBA, NFL, movies, and on Broadway. This goes to show that an educational foundation was formed at BHS and carried on to other walks of life. It is always easier to find fault in a system rather than to find solutions. Parents need to become more involved in the education process to ensure that a positive legacy continues.

Bloomfield High School has a lot of potential, however there is little support from the community for academic programs. Everyone seems focused on athletics.
