Peaberry's Cafe - (860) 658-2930

It's like they started out to be a local Starbucks clone, but stopped short. Kind of hip, but kind of stodgy, too. The service can be rude or snobby at times. The food is very good, but very high priced. I've tried their coffee, hot and iced, and it is consistently awful. (I'm not exaggerating.) Ironically, their non-coffee drinks are quite fine.

I had lunch here on several occasions and the food is great, the service fast and friendly. The place has a sitting area with books, newspapers and the chairs are cozy to sit it. Parking is good and so is the price.

This cafe has excellent sandwiches, wonderful coffees, and decadent desserts, including a chocolate truffle cake to die for! Comfortable seating, and the fireplace is a nice place to sit by while reading and sipping a latte.
